Will this mess up my engine?

I have been wanting to was my engine bay area since i have an oil leak just to get the nastyness out and i was wondering if it is fine to use the degreaser stuff at car washer or will it hurt something? i know to cover up the intake but is there anything that will get hurt if i do it?

Stay away from the plug wires and the distributor. Other then that you will be fine. If you do happen to get them wet, the car will run roughly and hesitate until the water dries, you can expedite the drying by removing the distributor cap and drying with a towel, and pulling out the plugs and wires and doing the same.

cover them up with zip lock baggies and dont spray water on it!

If you'd like to save baggies for ur mama's sammiches at lunch time, I'd prefer just using plastic bags from ur local grocery store. Then rubber band them up where neccesary. You can also cover em up with towels. With the towels if you spray over them it'll still be str8t. The towels absorb the water!

By the way what kind of degreaser are you using?
I found the Gumout "STEAM" to work best with a toilet bowl scrubber thingy from the dollar store, haha.
