could someone plz tell me what the v in vlsd is and why it is different from lsd?

The v means viscous. It means that it uses a viscous liquid that sort of solidifies and makes the axles move at the same speed.

L = limited

its a silicone based fluid

the gear lube is like a 80w90 oil, i believe

cause i change my fluid with 10w30 at the dealershit *i think* but you dont fill the whole diff with it right, like the viscous compound is sealed somewhere inside?

Yes, the 240 LSD and the 300zx LSD is a sealed unit. Meaning, the viscous fluid is in a sealed compartment. The rest of the oil in the unit is just lube for the spider gears.

they have gear oil for a reason!!!!!!
for someone with so many posts twitchy i think you don't take in much if any knowledge at all....
motor oil for engine!
gear oil for diferential!
