S13 Speed Sensor Calibration

I was thinking a little earlier today. All non-SE S13 wheels received 195/60/15 series tires. So I would assume that the stock speed sensor was calibrated for this size. Now vehicles equipped with the factory SE alloy wheels received 205/60/15 series tires, which will be about a 2% difference (too slow). It's to my understanding that all the s13 speed sensors are the same, so cars equipped with the SE wheels, are technically not recording mileage accurately...

To put this in perspective, if the speedo reads 60mph, you are actually traveling 61.2mph. If the car has a total of 100,000 miles recorded on the odometer, the car actually traveled 102,000 miles.

I know this is pretty much irrelevant information at this point since everyone has switched wheels and tires around a million times by now... But its interesting to think about. If anyone has any more information to add to this that would be great.

I have an SE and even with the correct tires the speedo reads about 5mph fast. I think they are of a guessometer.

Most cars are not accurate, at least older ones. I know my 3000gt reads about 3mph fast when your in the 60mph range. I was told they purposely made them so that they read a little fast so the driver is more likely to do the speed limit. They'd probably have lawsuits if someone had their speedo say 60 and they got a ticket for doing 65 in a 60 lol
