Do you think the 3076R is going to spool faster? Looking for a decent spooling single turbo for a friend's 1J, I was recommending a GT3076R.
Just wondering if you are switching for better spool, I will send him a link to this thread. |

I think for the SR it will spool slightly faster as it is a bit of a smaller turbo than the 5857. That being said, this turbo spools pretty damn hard on the SR. Main reason I'm switching is because I have a brand new 3076r sitting in my room that I was going to use for a different project, but decided to switch that to a gtx3076r, so I had to pick between these two turbo's. I figured the 5857 would be easier to sell because of the lower cost.

You are probably right on the sale. Thanks for the response.
Like I said, I will let him know about this, seems like a good match for what he's looking for, 400+whp and decent spool on a 2.5L. If I wasn't already hurting for money on my current project I'd snap it up for a future one. |
