Whats it worth? Buying my first s14

I'm looking into buying my first 240. Its a 95 s14 Zenki with an RB20 swap. It has 160k miles on the body and the motor has around 40k. It has full Function Form type 2 suspension. What would be a good price? The body and interior is nearly perfect and so is the paint. Also what should i be on the lookout for when inspecting it? Thanks for any help guys.

LEAKS, FRAME damage,stored codes, battery/ alternator, check to see if he has any paper work for the repairs. Test drive and feel the cars handling. Basic shit you would do for any car. Make sure all gears are smooth and dont pop out. A picture would help alot to see what it is worth but without drift tax i would say anywhere from 3500-5000 whats it listed for?

Yeah, check for RUST! Always. Bring a flashlight and check the frame rails, the engine bay, shock towers, and trunk. If it's got a sunroof, check leaks on that too.

If anything looks recently painted (like the engine bay) check for rust in there. If the rockers are bubbling, they need replacement.

Check for paperwork on the swap.

These cars are old and beat. If you don't know what you're getting into bring along someone, anyone who does and seriously consider whether you want the headaches associated with these cars at their current age and popularity.

ALSO: should probably use the search as this has most likely been covered before... Value of a vehicle is variable based on mileage, mods, location, MY... I mean, anything anyone from here gave you could be too low for the guy to sell, or more than it's worth. Many people have skewed view on how much their worth. Both ways.

Check the title(clean), and as stated above make sure you over look the car thoroughly(undercarriage, frame, wheel in wheel well spacing, wiring(its never fun to clean up someone hack wire job)) . Don't get suckered in by just hearing the car. Bring someone who's mechanically inclined preferably some who knows s chassis. Drift tax is a b1tch, people who sell car typically list them way high cas they know they are going to be haggled. Research, research, research.

And to stay somewhat on track, op, make sure to always check if the paperwork is legit (matching VINS, etc.) and also after the test drive and before leave the car running in case it has any funny hiccups while it idles. Letting the car warm up and driving it once it is a big thing too. Try to get on it a little at least as well.

1: My username was illests13 in 2011 because i was one of the first "hella flush" 240's in my area. so someone wrote "illests13" on my dirty wheel lip so I went with it.

2: Do you even know what hipster means? I'm going to assume no because seeing as bright colored wheels are trendy now a days I would be anything from a hipster.Mmaybe your looking for the word "bandwagon"? in which case I wouldn't consider myself either because I haven't owned a set of brightly colored wheels but i do enjoy them if the right color combo is happening.
