Speedo

Hopefully someone can shed some light on an issue I am having.

On my 95 s14y speedo is acting a little weird. When I start the car and let it idle
The needle for the speedometer reads 20mph. I like to how I can resolve this and is it an easy fix?

for now try a friends 95/96 cluster and see if his/hers works on yours, If it does, then your MPH gauge took a dump, I thought I saw on this forum that you can fix it by re soldering some pins on the back of the MPH tach, or not sure if it was the RPM tach, but swapping out clusters with a friend is a free and quick way to do some diagnosis .

Shifty,

Just a quick followup. Did you ever figure out what your problem was? Was it the Vehicle Speed Sensor on the transmission OR was it the Speedometer on the dash board cluster. I'm having the same issue myself on my 95 S14.

Appreciate if you could please advise.

TIA

Sorry I can't help no haven't even attempted to try anything yet. I have tackling other issues with the car. Just keep asking around or create a new post. There are people on this forum that can provide great advice. If you do figure it out or find an answer please let me know.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
