Turn the light on then off, then double click the light switch on the dash.
If it doesn't work put the wire back together.
Or try the JDM tyte version above.

The brown wire is power for the headlight motor. No power = no motor movement.

I suggest you search and read the EL section of the FSM on headlight. There are 4 relays, the motors themselves, and a headlight timer.

Digest all the information and decide how you want to proceed.

You can buy a controller, or you can build one yourself if you have the skills. If you have any specific questions about wiring post up.

I cut the brown wire on one of my cars, all it stopped was the lights going down in one smooth motion, all you have to do is double click the headlight button like you would a mouse, the lights should move down inch by inch, keep clicking untill desired sleepeyness is reached

I jsut cut the green wire and wired in a momentary switch (like a window switch operates) and then I could adjust their downward movement.

Cut wire
Flick your light stalk on then off
Double tap your light switch

Nothing else is needed here

If it's not working for you, you have bigger electrical problems.

Grab a multimeter and an FSM and get to troubleshooting.

the first video is easy as hell man. just get some extra wire and 2 switches.
I dunno if you can have the lights on while in sleepy mode with the brown wire method but with the "jdm tyte" one you can. I did it to mine and now im glad i didnt cut that brown wire.

1993 Base. Worked as advertised with my stock front end.

Now I have a Silvia front end, so I reconnected the brown wire, and I use the switch to control my fog lights.

Must have been three color blind idiots then.

The brown wire trick works on all s13's.

Might I ask why is this thread even in existence?

lol. yea i think i had bigger electrical problems. because my cousin said when i turn on my lights the pop ups should go automatically. i never knew that because my car i had to turn on the lights then hit the button for the pop ups to go up. so cutting my brown wire was epic fail. i just reconnected the wire.

Yes you can, when you want to have your sleepy eyes lit up you just have to take out the headlight fuse from the driver side kick panel fusebox, or you can make a switch for it.
