Where do you buy your NEW car mods??
Having been in the 240 scene in a while, I know of all the major players and where to shop around.
Just curious where does everyone else shop around for the best deals? Forum vendors? Just asking online? Googling the part you need and seeing who carries it? Reason why I'm curious to know is that I'm about to get an Evo and want to find out the best places to find parts. The ones I can think on the top of my mind are FRsports, THM, and IIR Edit: What are your methods of finding the best deals for car parts online? Last edited by overb0ost; 07-15-2013 at 09:35 PM.. |

I try to give vendors my business first.... and not just because I'm a vendor myself. It helps support the forum and hopefully said vendor is an active part of the forum which helps them be more familiar with what products work/sell best for the vehicles that are the hot topic on the forum. It's a win/win for everyone. I am also willing to spend a little more with a business that is an authorized dealer for the product they sell.... in hopes that they will be more knowledgeable on the product.

there are certain things i'll buy from FRSport, especially since they're local to me, and support the scene in ways i approve of.
other things, i'll try to give business to people like Broadfield whenever i can. His customer support is top notch and i'd rather spend a bit more to send money his way than save a dollar by going somewhere else. there are plenty of quality products available for s-chassis these days from companies like SPL, PBM, etc so you've got lots of options. |

Love FRSport because delivery for SoCal residents is literally like the day after it's shipped and their shipping prices aren't that bad. |

Thats the only thing I miss about Socal, all the shops are there.
Only place that is almost as good is Fail-rida, atleast Orlando and some at Tampa. You got Enjuku, Mazworx, and Rawbrokerage in Orlando, then you got a couple shops in Tampa like Z-Fever and Enthalpy is there (rom tune on a dyno). |

FRS. comin from where I'm at, gotta love that 55 to 405 north carpool lane...when its empty. haha. Drove down to buy tires (website said its in stock...) but i guess they have it at a separate warehouse or something, so call before you go lol. I took my girl to south coast plaza and just went back the next day to pick the tires up. great location they have. my federals also cost less in store than they were listed online, so maybe you get a better deal in store?
Nissan race shop @ Fontana Nissan has some good local JDM parts in the IE! saved my ass when i needed a water pump ASAP! and zilvia/online |

I order 85% of my parts from FRSport. I used to order a few things from Enjuku but their shipping prices are ridiculous. I'm in the same damn state so the time it takes to travel 6 hours and how much I have to pay turns me away. I order a few things from Z1 Motorsports because if I order early enough I can have it next day.
Also, Vitaly at AceUpMotorsports is very helpful and hooked me up on my brake/clutch line relocation. I really need to support them more than I do.

This. He took the time to personally email me when I ordered a part that was out of stock and we quickly came to a resolution to the dilemma. He also took the time to email me tracking numbers for the items I ordered. I will be doing more business with him in the future.
But I've also had good experiences with 240sxmotoring, they are very prompt on processing and ship pretty quick with ups - generally. I also now have countless "240sxmotoring" stickers that they send out with each order...haha |

Depends on the parts really. Here's everyplace I have shopped from.....
For my ls swap places amazon, eBay, and summit. For my vh swap enjuku, xcessive, mazworx (shudder) For my Sr swap frsport, map, eBay, For suspension whichever forum sponsor had what I want the cheapest. For oem jdm body parts nissanparts.cc For oem door seals, hatch cables etc chesapeake Nissan on ebay I also use rockauto and amazon for a lot of things. Especially amazon prime membership gets me shit quickly and returns are awesome. I'm also a cheap ass, no matter my salary, and will shop around to get the parts I want whoever is cheapest with no loyalty to anyone! EBay doesn't scare me because I'm not buying chicom shit from the cheapest seller but there are very good deals on name brand stuff just gotta look. |

enjuku racing has great customer support, and hook it up quite a bit. If i need something quick .. fr sport. i'll order something on a tuesday afternoon from frsport, and get it friday morning, and that's their free shipping. both are really good.

I guess because knowing the s-chassis scene for so long I know all the good places that give great deals and customer service, but going to a new platform is like getting into a whole new game.
Do you guys find that you get better deals when calling the stores, or sending a PM to various vendors is good enough? I almost feel like I spam them by sending out 5 PMs to different vendors checking prices lol |

Dude:
If you spent a lot of time in the S-chassis scene, then the Evo scene will be no different other than the platform itself. You will need to learn about the car (if you haven't already), and shop around everywhere you can for the parts that are right for your taste/goals in terms of quality and budget. Very important: Get on an Evo forum... actually, get on a few. The way I see it, THOSE are the folks who will tell you the best places to go for good stuff at good prices. Asking this on a forum ruled by Nissan enthusiasts will not get you very far ![]()

I think FRsport is awesome! They have the FR saver option for shipping which is a godsend for us islanders out here! Its usually 5-10 bus days anyways minors
Heres one that will rack your guys brain. Ive ordered from Enjuku and its CHEAPER than Phase2??? For those who dont know Phase2 is on the west coast and Enjuku is about as far away from me while still being in the country..So I dont know??

Like you said, at the end of the day it's hard earned money that we've all worked hard for so getting the best bang for the buck is impt. Too bad most of the online websites don't show stock status, that's another thing that I find a bit annoying. |

Ordered most of my recent parts from aceupmotorsports. Great service great shipping etc. I've never had an issue with enjuku and will continue to shop with them. Also have had great customer experience with PBM.

FUKKKKK FRSport. Seriously I don't wanna deal with their cheap asses who don't stand behind products they sell.
Breaks after 30 days. -responds with "Sorry that part is already beyond 30 day warranty". Me "I just installed it yesterday, still can't do a thing for me?" Another part defective, and I'm not happy with the quality at all. So I ask for refund. "no refunds, only exchange after item is shipped back to Japan and inspect will we do an exchange." Thinking that I will wait weeks and months for a exchange. So you telling me I bought all these things from you and you don't stand behind it? What the fuck do I need you for, useless FRSPORT? That was mostly back in the day when I was ordering bolt-on stuff. Now, I'm mostly making my own components and have great connection with fabricators. I still order stuff online when I need something, but it's not car specific or anything like that. Usually parts for whatever we are building. |

I'm from sweden, but I've bought a lot of things for my build from FRSport, so I like 'em. Bought my ID2000 (and some other random stuff) from Touge Factory though, nice service from them aswell!
