haha, you'll love this, pretty much free. I traded a friend my s13 partscar, it was just a bare chasis too, no motor, suspension, brakes, interior etc...i think i got my money's worth. Oh, i only payed $350 CAD for the car.
only question is now, what size tires to run. I was thinking abot running 205/55's all around, but since the rears are 8" i don't know. Any suggestions. |

What do you plan on doing with the car, motorsports wise if any? And are you on stock KA still? 205s would be fine all around, but it depends on use.

It doesn't sound like you have enough power to push something like a sticky pair of 225s in the back, unless that SOHC motor of yours is really built. I'd have to recommend 205 all 'round. 205/50 would be my choice, but you could easily go 205/55 if you want a slighty more comfortable ride with better gas mileage.

Make sure you post some pics once you decide what tires to run and have everything mounted

comfortable ride? i have 7/5 d2's i think comfort is out the window, especilly with roads like the ones i have to drive on. The sohc could have broke loose easy in the condition that it was in. it was about the same power as a friends stock sr. But sadly she's decided to call it quits. The dohc, is stock so, maybe 205's are a good idea. thanks for the advice. |

holy crap. RUN SPACERS! I bought my wheels used too, they were 16x7 +38 and 16x8 +38. You're a little better off in the front than I was, but believe me... in a few weeks, maybe months you're gonna hate how sunk in they are.
Just don't buy Touge Factory spacers... ugh.

I test fitted them yesterday when we were installing a friends d2's (mine are going in monday after i finnish relocating the harness and get rid of the seam weld) and they looked very close to flush. I'll post up some pics later this week when i get tires on them.
As for spacers go, they appear to be fine without them, but if they sit in farther than they appeared to, i'll just make a set up. |

how far out they are on a car off the ground is NOT how they will fit when the cars dropped. ecspecially when your coilover drop adds camber. spacers please

depends on your definition of flush. I'm just telling you right now... far from flush. To me, it seems 7J +8 in the front w/205/55 and 8J +13 w/225/50 is pretty flush for me. That's with about 1.5 - 1.75 camber.
