Does anyone make dampers designed for an s13 but with light weight parts in mind? I have the stock ones for my hatch and it takes way too much effort to close with my CF hatch. Its not doing the force im worried about its the fact it will warp the hood and hatch.

they make them extremely light. just measure the total opening length of the strut, and go around online and look for struts which have a low lb rating but have the same length.

Well for clarities sake I need one for the hood because on my drag car the core support is removed so I cant use the stock hood prop. On the hatch I am using a lexan window so between that and the carbon hatch there is no weight there or structural rigidity.

I use dampers made for the oem hood on my carbon dito and it works excellent.
