SR need help, SR20DET

hi guys,

I need your help plz

be cool with me not like last time (sorry for the spil.)

so, I buy me 200sx 1990 with ca18det (euro virsion) from 2 week ago

now I will buy a SR20DET (black top) next week

in my place (Bahrain) have alot of LS1 camaro on the street(almost stock)

can I beat them with the SR and what I need to do it (FMIC, 14psi, 3'' exhust...etc)

in our place we do not have dyno and 1/4 mile track with clock to see my 1/4 time

so what you think about HP and the 1/4mile time of SR20DET (black) , FMIC, 14psi, 3'' exhust

and one more think

as I see in Factory Service Manuals for CA18DET (from zilvia.net) that

all 200sx with CA18DET from Euro have R200 diff. so

is all R200 is LSD (hope yes )

thanks for help

this is my 200sx as I buy it ( I will work on it soon)

thanks for help

Very nice looking car! Congrats on a good buy, now lay out a good plan. If you are looking to do an engine swap but do not have alot of experience, your best bet is to take it to an expert to perform it for you. If I were you, I would concentrate on upgrading the tires (and wheels is you have the money) and suspention first. Do some research! Their is a wealth of info out there on the web for your car. READ READ READ and read some more.

those wheels are nasty but the rest of the car is pretty nice. there are some weird little differences, like there are no letters on the temp and fuel gage (i know why, it just looks odd). what wrong with your CA? with all the money you would put into the SR you could make the CA pretty powerful. take that money and get some cams, fuel upgrades and control, port the head, a bigger turbo, an LSD, and some wide tires. definetly enough to beat a 350hp camaro. just so you know, i don't know much about the CA specifically, i just threw out all the stuff i could think of for any engine.

not all R200 diffs are LSD but there was a VLSD option in the states so i would imagine that you could get one. it might have been an option or it might have been standard with the turbo engines, i think that's how it was in japan. there are plenty of options for aftermarket diffs too. search around here to figure out how to tell if yours is an LSD

thanks guys for reply

about the CA is has a strong sound from the crank bering (must change the crank bering it mean make an rebuilt the engine) we do not have spear part for the CA in my place even the nissan dealer

I can have a SR20DET black for 670$ ( the engine only)

about the wheels I buy it like that so I plane to change it soon but

I do a search for good one but I did not fined a 4lug I love it with lip so

I think about convert to 5lug (more wheel option and big one)

can I but a 17x8 rear and 17x7.5 in front it came fit with the fender ( not out side of the car)

thanks

Do you have an SR transmission? I am pretty sure the bell housings are different than the CA.

I think about RB25DET but as I read near and in sport compact car it it hard and you must have a skyline clip

easy way to tell if car is vlsd is jack the rear up and turn the wheels. if they spin togather then vlsd if they spin opposite each other then non vlsd. right?
