Dumb People and Depression

So i was just cruising down the road after work on my way home and so idiot in the opposite lane turns left in front of me and plows right into me. I am so angry and sickened that this happened and i am worried that my car will be totaled. And to make it worse i just got a bride MO seat rail and new $400 set of tires not even a week ago. Has anyone else had similar damage and not have their car? Here are some pictures...

There was almost no damage the their car... ugh... im so stressed.

You should post a vertical pic of your radiator and radiator support to show how far its pushed in

I second ^

You will most likely need a new radiator support, radiator, hood, pay for a shop to weld the support on and to pay for paint. You can prolly bang out the fenders. Don't accept the first offer that their insurance offers you. You will have to argue your brains out with them and be aggressive. If you are sentimental about the car, fight and make them fix it. If you want the money you should prolly focus more on medical damages

the headlight solenoid arms are also broke.

I was not hurt.. plus the car means a lot to me so hopefully i will get enough to cover all the damages.

Thank you.. i definitely have no experience in the body work field.

AGAIN WITH THESE PEOPLE AND RADIATOR SUPPORT!!!!
What the *SNIP* is so important about it?
You can move that flimsy piece of metal around with a bare hand.
And this car's radiator support is barely touched.

Here is similar damaged car I just bought the other day.
http://zilvia.net/f/cars-sale/492357...ml#post5034291

Cost me $30 for new bumper and 2 hours of work with rope and another car pulling it.

You should probably take the money and invest in some wheels with the propper offset.

It looks bad but seriously. Don't even fuck with cutting out your core support and welding a new one in, just pull it out until it looks about right and just put a new bumper on. You won't even be able to tell the difference. I just put a front end on a 'totaled' s13 and it looks perfectly stock.

It looks like the core support/upper tie bar is pushed back. The frame rails are probably tweeked because of that impact bar (look at it shaped like a u). If you can find a bodyshop to pull it on a frame machine and weld in a new core support I would do that. To have it fixed right you're looking to spend at least 1,500-2,000 to a business. Thats bare bones you bring in junkyard parts.

People are right though you can use another car to pull that out and replace the bent parts getting it simi-close. That is the cheapest I guess..

The car is totalled insure wise, to have a body shop fix and replace the parts would cost well more than the car is valued at.

If it's your fault you won't be seeing money from the insurance company. If someone else is paying, get your 3k and either sell this one and get a new car or just fix this one on the cheap. Hood, bumper, hammer down the rad support and you got $2,500 extra to spend.

Car is totalled. The bumper reinforcement is hella bent outta shape, so the frame rails that hold the reinforcement in place are probably tweaked.

Now, it's not *major* damage, by any means. But considering that an early 240 is worth like 2 dollars to the claims adjuster...it will be totaled out. You will have the option to purchase back from insurance at an obscenely low rate though.
