mazworx harness bar fitment issues?

has anyone installed a mazworx harness bar into their s13? i've been looking for pics but cant find anything that really helps. i've tried all different ways to get the bar to sit flush and this is the only way but the struts come no where close to reaching where they should, it passes it up by alot. where the harnesses run also doesnt look right. it looks like the bar is almost backwards.

any input or help is appreciated. i sent an email to mazworx but it being the holidays i dont expect a reply back for a few days.

you have the bar in backwards, the "hoop" should point backwards and not forwards

..are you sure you got the right bar for your car?

I haven't had a single bad experience or difficulty installing any mazworx part on my car. I got the brake caliper adapters, it was a perfect fit.

It's either the wrong bar, or you're putting it in the wrong spot. Those Harness hopes (to keep the harnesses in the right spot on the bar) need to be just like the other picture.

Why don't you just put the bar in the way you had it and push the bottom of it back towards the rear of the car. You had it right, it just needed to go back farther.

Bolt-in harness bars are junk. Sell it before you get seriously hurt in a fender bender. Short of a real racing cage setup, factory seatbelts are much safer.

Got it installed. The bar was backwards and the hoops for the harnesses do not aim straight up like the pics.

Can you take pics of it installed? It just seems a little wonky for the strap limiters to be upside down, I've *never* seeen that.

It's a gray area.

They are legal for most if not all HPDE (At least with NASA, Porsche Club, HoD and oother groups) for track use, so long as an aftermarket seat is also being used (and that the harness bars have down braces etc etc)

On a street car I'd strongly agree, as I'd be wearing the regular seatbelt setup (which I do) and never the harness....but for track events the harness bar is ok.

They aren't upside down. They almost stick straight out towards the front of the car. Its strange to me too but it works lol.

i dont know how good that statement is.. my harness bar made my car feel much stiffer (vert...)

also ive stopped in emergency stops before and never had any issue with my harnesses feeling loose or sloppy under intense braking.

pretty sure a harness will keep you just as safe as a factory seat belt.. if you get in a 70 mph collision, your going to be in serious pain regardless which seatbelt your using.

Take a picture of the mounting points. I would call a Mazworx and have a discussion with them about it. They aren't suppose to be like that.
