My car started running a little ruff.
when I would come to a stop it would want to stall out but then the rpm would jump up. so I put new plugs in bosch plat. and it ran even worse so I put back my ngk hoping it would fix it. but no so I dont know what to try I was told to use the plugs for a sentra ser but do I have to gap them and if so what is it. And could I have messed up something when I put the bosch plat. in. any info would help.

could be the IACV. this would also have to be probably the number one posted topic, rough idle. did u search at all. but the iacv is located on the lower intake manifold, mine was seized so I got a new one, could be your problem but there are a lot of things that could be the problem like maf.

use the search function, i dont wanna knock on you but its been covered about 40 times. s13 are synonymous with idle. i replaced my O2 sensor, engine coolant temp sensor, and fuel filter that helped a little.. then i replaced my spark plugs, and my spark plug cables..$100 for the last 2, try tis last.. clean your IAV out, degrease your engine, and what helped me the MOST both with power, gas mileage and idle, was redoing my engine ground coming off of the battery. the wire right under the tray is held in there nice an tight with a metal hook, so get a saw and cut that sucker out. just setup a new cable going from your engine to your battery. the thinner wire is the ground wire of the two on your car.. aka the (-). use the advanced feature of search to find out more. at the very least, replace your O2 sensor and ground wire, clean out the iav, then jump on the coolant temp sensor, while the car is running, unplug your spark plug wires one at a time.. if your rpm goes down,(ull be able to hear it) then that cylinder is ok. if u dont hear a change, then theres something wrong with that cylinder.. whether itll be the spark plug, spark plug wire, or something internal..make sure the new spark plugs you use have the proper heat range. get some throttle body cleaner, clean out ur throttle body by removing your factory intake, and spraying the sucker down.. dont worry about the TB going into the engine, its ok. clean out the MAF with the TB as well, and make sure your air filter is nice and clean.go to an autoparts store and just replace them again with watever the associate sez you need. good luck, email me and let me know how it turns out!
