This.
You have a $2000, a $1000 trans, and some cheap go fast parts in a cheap s chassis with a kouki front. How do you figure this is a 16k car?
It's cool, looks good, probably drives good, but not a 16k car. I'd say it's definitely in the market of 10-13k, but not 16k.
Just my 2 cents. Hell, when my 2j fd is finished I'll list it up for 40k.
Cheers and glws.

Well you gotta think about it 4-5k for the se.
2jz swap ~500-2000 depending on which kit you get
2jz engine + r154 engine is another 3k
kouki front end conversion(+1.5-2k),
5 lug conversion + rims / tires (+~1k+)
custom wiring conversion w/wire tuck (rare everything works 300-900)
top feed fuel rail and bigger injectors is expensive (~1k with his setup).
custom valve covers and tubing to the catch can
include all the extras and labor, especially how clean this car is and the paint.
it would cost you at least 15k to do this yourself and the price is obo. just my 2c

custom valve covers and tubing to the catch can & you really included this in the overall cost? you expect me to take you seriously?

Uh, that's the problem. Just because you smack some rims on a car and a nice sound system does not increase the value of the car. Yes, this isn't the dealership so there is some value in adding the new motor. But you cannot seriously expect to take a $3-4k car throw a motor in, add the cost of labor, parts, random trinkets that YOU needed to finish it all up, ONTOP OF throwing a piggy back fuel management in there. And expect to get $16k

Lets look at it this way, read his list of shit line for line

"everything works" uh that's not vague at all? and if everything works then why do you list at the bottom PS/AC don't work?
"motor has great compression" very promising my man, wow. how about show some numbers if you're gonna ask $16k
"intake manifold" you mean a knockoff? because you didn't specify any brand.

"new motor mounts and brackets custom transmission brackets to hold under power" wait, you're telling me that the stock motor mounts worked for the 2j? cause that's what I'm reading

"Aem wide band" omg finally you list a brand of something.. see *** below

"Boost Gauge" ahh, see above

"Full Exhaust" .... nice

"Cone filter" That's another promising thing, not that brand matters, but really? "cone filter" is supposed to really spruce this listing up?

"FMIC" Another ebay find?

"Fan shroud with dual slim fans" The $30 fans you get at advance auto?

"Oil Catch Can with Stainless steel lines and fittings" A $15 catch can off ebay?

***The fact that this guy only listed 1 or 2 things by brand name, leads me to STRONGLY believe One or Two things is happening here.

#1) He doesn't know jack about this car, and just threw cheapo parts on it and is trying to up sell it to us.

#2) He still doesn't know jack about the car, because he bought it this way. and couldn't really tell you if the diff is out of an infinity or not, because he doesn't know for sure if the motor has good compression or not.

#3) I'm completely wrong, and he's just being a lazy dick, and not taking up-close pictures of what he's listing, as well as including the brand names of the things he has on the car. If it's an ebay catch can who the hell cares. But if it's an ebay intake, ebay catch can, ebay gauges, ebay diff, ebay turbo.... You're not getting a buyER for this thing without giving a better description of what you're selling. Let alone that amount of $$

Now that all being said, this car does look nice, etc. but this is a piss poor listing. no offense to anyone, and I hope none is taken.

(#3 highly unlikely)

Let me just add this in here too buddy, since you assumed you knew prices for 240 stuff, and then I find this;

Not trying to poop on you thread OP but that's not a 10k motor sitting in a 6k chassis. You need another 7-10k in that car to get 16k back. Which leads me to say; why do people build a car and expect to get back all the money they put into it back + some???

Thats what I was trying to tell them, I have a 2jz swapped 240 and i know it's super expensive. But what they say is also true, it might be in your best interest to list the brand names of your aftermarket parts

Its not about people having or lacking money bro. Don't get all bent outta shape because CERTAIN people are trying to help you sell your car. No one deliberately said you have a trash version of 2jzSX. Just revise your thread with a detailed description of what's on the car because right now your sale is looking like it won't happen @ 16k

See champ, people agree. Go look at other for sale posts on here and maybe you'll get a hint of how to sell a car. Like I said before, how do we know you didn't get this car for what I've seen them sell for (7-10K with a REAL parts list) and are just asking for more because you don't know what's really in the car.

You post your car for sale on a forum... FORUM, and then ask people to text or call you for a list of the parts? lolwut?

Why not be a big boy, post the god damn accurate parts list with receipts in the first place? Don't you worry about how much money anyone else has but you, that's not your concern.

My point exactly, the car looks good, no one denied that, just stop slacking on your advertisement and make the bitch sound like it's worth 16K.

I've built a 240 with a 2j in it, I live with a drifter who has a kouki with a 2j and a 1U in it. He laughs at your price tag.

Some people just don't know how to take a hint. it's okay though, he'll sit on it for years before realizing it's ridiculous

I don't care what your price is, If you're trying to sell me a computer, and you put in your ad "it has memory, a mouse and a keyboard" Then you're definitely not going to get my money. That's just simple common sense.

I still think you didn't do any of this work yourself, or you wouldn't be so defensive, and you'd actually list what's really on the car lol.

just read this whole thread. but not to take any sides,. seriously.. @OP, you did post on a forum, best of YOUR interest if you dont want to waste time so people dont ask you what the parts / where the parts came from,. etc. car looks good though nonetheless, GLWS

nice thx for sharing you live with a drifter and a 1U and you built one lol pictures or it didnt happen, ppl like you have no interest in a car whatsoever then spend 3 hours writing paragraphs on why i should do this and that when you couldve said one line "can you be more specific on details of the parts" why dont you take yo ass to a different ad, if you want to know more info call me my number is right on the post
