rb20 problem

I have a 96 240 with an rb20. It has a rb25 turbo swap and I had recently done up a quest alt swap because I was draining my battery.

Now I had taken it out on its first test drive after doing the swap and it died, my brother pulled me home (because it wouldnt pop start) and while he was pulling me i could leave it in N and with the key one it would start when i popped it, as soon as I put it in 1st it would die. When I got home I charged the battery (optima red top) and tried to start again, didnt even get spark, even tried putting the old alt back in. Still no dice. Oh and I also have NIStune if that helps.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ground(s)... Check neg battery cable for continuity across itself and continuity to the chassis.

What do you mean neg cable accross itself and to the chassis? Its mounted in the back and its mount to the floot of the trunk....it was there when the car ran so idk.....replace apark plugs gaped right. Also replaced the cas and still nothing. Getting the customary spark signs to the spark plugs knowing they are getting spark. Tried some either which would get it to at least turn over..fuel pump is priming.

Any ideas? Oh also when i try to start it the eccs relays are clicking frantically.

Update: grounds are all good and the coils check out. I did the J30 Ignitor swap and still no dice. Light comes on the ECU but it wont blink any codes could this be from the NIStune install? Also could it be that the NIStune was wired up wrong so its not starting due to that?
