You know, for my money, you just can't beat a 96.

i like the 97-98, but i'd get a 95-96 because of the ECU. something about compatability or obII or JWT doesn't make ECU's for 97-98. i read something on another board, i own an S13 so i didn't pay much attn, anyone know anything about this? but in my opinion i'd get a 96

well, on the speed side... 96. but on the handling side, nothing beats the 89 and 90s. the 95-98s seem to sway more, and the 91-94s have bad understeer.

Whateverjames: Did you check into Jetchip? www.jetchip.com When I called JWT, they said they could only get me 8 hp out of the ecu. Jetchip promises 12-13. It's a little cheaper too, I think. $400 for Jetchip. I don't know if JWT would tune it any better. Jetchip is genericly tuned, but I'll bet you could call them to specifically tune it.

Well, if you hadn't put it together, the 2.4 liter is found in the hardbody as well as the 240. Same engine as the SOHC 240sx'. (ka24e) And what the #### is slammednspoked? Does my baby look like a useless lowrider? Jesus christo! And yes, I have a 5-speed, and it kicks ass. I don't know what I'd do if I had, saaaaaay......an AUTOMATIC!

However, I believe the brake proportioning on these years is a little more front biased than on other years which under excessive braking will cause front lockup and cause the car to push on corner entry. But this is nothing a little better driving can't take care of. Oh...and my pick would be '91-'93.:) |

I love all models of the 240 (except fore the convertable)....the S13's have a little more of a sporty look to them and of course I'll never dis my own litttle'95...and I also love the more aggressive look of the '97-'98s......personally (even if I didn't own one) I'd think that the 240 is one of the best looking cars on the road...just my opinion..don't beat me up...I know I'm not the only one:)

I'd love to claim stiffest suspension in my 1995, but that honor goes to 1991-93. I get stiffest chasis however - along with my fellow s14's.
As for other - most of it has been said - best head/cams/bottom end/etc. However, only the 1995 has OBD I, the better styling, and the coolest drivers... |

Well, I'm biased like the other s13 owners, but even press releases from nissan said that they took a step away from performance and more towards luxary with the s14's.... HOWEVER, the s15 (with the exception of it's transmission) puts us all to shame
