Help installing speakers

So got everything off for a 6.5 Hybrid Audio speakers to replace front OEM.
I am stuck here though...
and seems like I might need an adapter plate?

Or do i just go to a stereo shop and fork out the dough?
Thought this would be a sinch

i already took that off. my new speakers wont fit in there flush with the holes.

just make an adapter plate and be done. a dremel and plexiglas or some people even cheap out and use plywood.

They have adapter plates to fit 6.5 in s13s on eBay. Just type in 240sx speaker adapter or someshit

im not too worried about the adapter plate. i can prob as mentioned above go to a stereo shop/ebay and mount it.
my question is the wiring....
in the pic posted, you can see the white socket and then a brown connector to the left of it.
Thing is my new speakers dont have the same white socket for an easy plugin...

Wow really? You didn't mention anything about wiring in your OP. So how are we supposed to know what you need help with? We are not mind readers.

Anyhow cut the connector off and solder or use crimp connectors to wire up your new speakers. Done.

You could of simply cut you some slack off the connector, wire it back up the factory speaker and used a 9 or 12v battery to pop the speaker to see if the polarity is correct. When the speaker pops forward is the correct polarity. From there you can figure out which color wire is pos and neg.

You can be lazy and spend a lil money and just buy the plug and play speaker connector.

I'm assuming you want us to give you a wiring diagram for the speaker wires too?

Don't waste money at a shop.
Crimping a wire is easy (takes like 2 seconds)

Its a crimp how hard can it be? Buy some connectors use a wire cutter that has a crimp nub and squeeze it together.
Strip the wire of the plastic insulation, place bare metal part of wire into connector, use tool and depress on the crimp move on to the next wire.
How hard is that?

I have both, they both work fine. Comes in handy if you ever do any type of wiring esp after market car radios.

If you don't want to buy tools to crimp just solder its easy as well just a lil more time consuming but it is worth it. It will guarantee your connection for both wires are good.

You don't need a fancy soldering iron either, a basic one will work fine. Solder is cheap, you can buy it at radio shack, fry's electronics, any electronics store will have it.

All the tools mentioned should be basics in any tool box esp if you are getting into car audio or heck even working on cars themselves. If you do not have any of the above items I suggest you invest in them unless you have lots of money to continue to pay people and shops to fix everything on your car.

Hey my old speakers!

When I had them installed on my s14 I snapped the small plastic corner pieces off so the speakers would sit flat against the plastic housing. I then made 1/4" spacers out of MDF to space them out a little. You probably don't need to do this though since those speakers are not that deep. There are existing holes in the plastic housing for screws to hold the speakers in place.

These speakers do use spade style terminals so just crimp some of those on and you'll be set.

you can solder spade connecters to the speaker wires and insert them into your OEM connector, thats what I did.

Two wires....man....two wires.

Cant wait till a post comes out on how to connect an oxygen sensor...
