ok, so im swapping a 97 KA using 91 KA engine harness, manifolds, engine compartment harness, distributer. the chassis that we are installing into is a 89 chassis, that previously had a SR installed. plugs were missing from the engine compartment so we swapped the chassis engine compartment harness. weve gotten the engine to crank, we have spark, but we have no fuel, the fuel pump isnt turning on, now the one problem we did run into was the small brown connector that comes out the top of the ecu harness, it doesnt fit into the plug in the dashboard, and the colors are different, does anyone happen to have diagrams of the wiring for this connector for the 89-90, and the 91 S13? the only other solution we have come up with is to swap out the entire chassis with the wiring from the 91, but we would rather rewire the small connector of 8 to 12 wires rather than mess around with 10,000 clips holding the entire harness in. another thing we were wondering about is the 91 engine compartment wiring has a small ECU(about half the size of the engine ECU) box thats mounted above the engine ecu, now the 91 was swapped to a 5 speed from automatic, is this box the controller for the auto trans?
