Aem Infinity or Haltech
I currently have an RB30 on aem V1 which I'm having issues with but I'm thinking of upgrading. I'm reading good things about the Aem Infinity but I know haltech has been pretty solid. Does anyone else know anyone or used or tested the new aem out?

haltech. aem electronics are cheaply made in comparison. haltech is going to be releasing a new ecu line this summer that will address the few short comings the ps series had, should be better than the new aem line. haltech customer support is second to none

Hhhhhhhmmmm. So you think I should wait a lil bit to see what haltech does? One thing I would hope they fix would be flex fuel with the PnP unit

i really like haltech. after messing around with pfc for over a year, not able to get a reliable start in cool temperatures no matter what i tried (made changes every time i tried to start the car, dd, even had a 'pfc tuner' try) i got a haltech. after setting up my maps/parameters first turn of the key in freezing temperatures the haltech started the car like factory. ive also got experience with link/vipec ecus and would not recommend them either.

My vote is on Haltech because their systems were designed and based around Nissan sensors. I'm also biased as I'm running a PS2000 on my VET setup.

Yea haltech will be one I've looked at but not tuned yet. Have y'all messed with the VE tuning. Is it harder than map?

VE tuning uses a map sensor if that's what you're asking. It's just a different methodology than lookup table based tuning, and I think it's generally quicker if you don't have a ton of experience with a platform/setup to get it dialed in. No real disadvantages IMO.

Ohhh ok. How or what VE calculating? Like map uses load like psi or tps which I'm thinking about using since I still have individual throttle bodies.

VE just refers to an internal model that uses MAP and rpm to calculate the fuel injection. Instead of specifying a pulse width and a bunch of lookup tables you specify a VE value and have a few VE modifier tables.
So the new Infinity systems will be more robust and automatically compensate for changing air temp and, fuel pressure etc.

Nissan CAS have some of the best resolution out there. The problem isn't that it can't keep up, it's because it is too good and senses other issues at hand. Read post 72 by Chrispeed in the link below.

I understand that. I'm saying regardless of what EMS you use, you're going to have the same issue. They dull the AEM down by using a 24-1, which doesn't give you better resolution.

Well I have really dumb question but I came across a issue that could have been messing me up this whole time.
So I have rb26 head n rb30 block but I forgot that I have r33 rb25 series 2 harness. The issue is that the coils have the ignitor in it which are no longer in the car. How is my car running without an ignitor and was running fine on power FC without it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
