D2 coilover install

My friend is installing D2 coilovers on his 97 240sx. The wheels are 17x7 +40 : the passanger side front fits fine with a decent amount of room. However, the driver side front has very little room and the camber adjustment looks pretty similar on both sides yet one side fits [can put a finger in] and the other doesn't. We even got some 5mm spacers, and the drivers side front has BARELY enough room [can't fit a finger] (not as much as the other side)

any input?

Do they have slotted upper bolt holes on the lower bracket?

So how are the D2 coilovers? How does your friend like them?

i love mine aswell, but my big 55 sidewalls seem to absorb most the bumps. The car just sticks to the road, so much different than my stock shocks and springs, it's taken some time to get used to slowing down for train tracks and such.

I like mine.... but 7/5 is a bit soft to my liking... I'll see on my next auto-x event.. I have 9/7 springs just waiting to be installed. :P

My friend is running 7/5's and after driving his car, those would be my ideal for driving around daily.

I'm running 9/7's and they're beginning to get on my nerves for daily driving...just stiff enough to make it a bit uncomfortable. Once I got out on the road course however, these things rocked my world
