Koni and Eibach Suspension Problem

I recently installed koni yellows along with eibach sportlines on my S14. I can definitely tell that the front is lowered but strangely enough the rear sits alot higher than the factory setup. My car looks weird as it slants forward with a huge gap in the rear wheel well. I have had the setup for 5 days now and it doesn't look like its going to come down. Any thoughts?

Also, every time I go over a sharp bump on the road, my front suspension makes an extremely loud thud. I have tried both the stiff and soft settings but neither one seems to absorb the shock. On normal bumps the suspension works perfect but once I approach something rugged, I hold on for dear life.

Does anyone else have similar problems?

WTH? That's odd, you added "lowering" springs and the car sits higher in the back? Did you install them correctly? Seems like you did something backwards..

A lot of people say the same thing, strangely enough, when using the Sportlines. They take a little while to settle.

Sit in the back seat. Drive around the block with a friend in the backseat.

That should settle them. Maybe?

the thud you are hearing is the strut hitting the bump stop. you were supposed to trim the stock bump stops when you assembled everything. i chopped about 1.5" inches off mine.

as for the high riding rear...maybe you installed something upside down or incorrectly? I dunno. Something is not seated properly.

take pics and post them so we can see what you did. pics of the shock and spring and collar and all that.

Thanks for the reply guys, I'll try to take some pics in the next couple of days.

Do know how the rear perch should be sitting? As per Koni's instructions, they have the perch facing up. The rear would definitely drop by 3/4" if I were to reverse the perch and have it facing down. Other than that, I made sure the springs were seated properly before putting everything back together.

UIUC, what is the bump stop?

Thanks,

Ble

the bump stops are inside the dust boots. you have to take everything apart to get them out.

i have konis, and the perch on the rear is reversible, i have it facing DOWN and it sits perfectly. if the perch is facing upward, that is 99% probably your problem.

So, I chopped off an inch of the bump stop and reversed the rear perch. Everything is looking and working awesome now. It makes so much sense for the perch to be facing down because now, the rear is lower and the spring won't be able to shift out of position.

Thanks for your help guys.
