i have a s13 coupe with a SR in it and i have a few bolt ons like full 3"exhaust k&n filter ,fmic, atmospheric blitz bov, mbc, koyo rad, and a turbo timer, i was wondering if getting an apexi sacf2 would be worth it or not?

btw ,in the future i plan on getting cams, rocker arm stoppers, springs, and
Port and polish my head.

Well maxing out your turbo seems like what you want to do. I would get supporting mods for that. safc2 would be a good step. IF you get one of those i would also recommend getting an egt gauge so u can tell whats going on. Also if you get safc I would also recommend getting 555cc injectors, z32mafs, and a jwt ecu tuned for that stuff. WIth all that you will see maximum effects of the safc2. Hope that answers your question.

:cliffnotes: Yes get an safc 2 but also get supporting mods like z32 mafs and 550cc injecotrs and ecu tuned for that.

doesnt safc make it so you dont need a tuned ecu. I know you dont need to tell ecu retune that you have a z32 maf because the safc will do that. maybe im wrong about the injector thing though. Can you tell the safc that you have larger injectors?

safc can compensate for an untuned ecu but it will never take into account timing modifications and many other parameters that have to be touched in higher boost levels. Plus, SAFC "tuned" Z32 mafs + 555 injectors run like crap compared to an aftermarket ECU.

I would not recommend JWT though... rich as hell.

I second HaLO. JWT ECU = poop

My heroes.

They can reflash your ECU and you can run a AFC (or other piggyback management) with it.

If you don't have a tuned ECU or an onboard management system, you are not getting the full benefits of your setup. The S-AFC would make a good add-on for fine tuning if you were using the JWT ECU, or similar. However, I would not recommend the S-AFC without some competent dyno tuning.

so you mailed you ecu to them? I thought I saw something about them saying they dont do out of state tunes because of different states so conditions would be different abd they didnt want any liability issues, guess I was wrong.
