OBX KA24DE header?

Looks remarkably like the Hotshot?

Anyone have any additional info?

i got pacesetter for my temporary header, decent welds, but i heard it will rust out, so i wrapped it with header wrap and coated it, not the best design for torque, but it still makes for a fun motor........for 150 that obx looks better

I have an obx on my 92. I think it's great. Fit just right. The finish turned kind of gold/bronzeish color just after 1 day. I might have been more upset about that but my cheepo ebay strut bar is the same color.
O2 location was good but the other two hardlines were a bit of a pain.

do they make this for s14's by any chance? i'm way too broke to afford hotshot and would like something to at least compliment the $600 i wasted in a catback and cat (for when i got the header eliminating stocker cat)

Hey sykikchimp, heres pic of mine for ka24e

I am impressed with this header, overall fit was great aside from the o2 sensor location putting it up tight to the firewall. Welds look nice, exhaust flange is one peice, and thick. I will buy another

damn.. that does look pretty nice.

..one of the things about OBX, is that they don't produce any parts. The pay other companies to produce the parts, and put thier name on it. So sometimes you get crap, and sometimes you get quality.

I have a OBX for the DOHC....not installed yet,but the welds are AWSOME on this thing......really built nicely, and at about half the price of a Hotshot,I like it so far....I can't wait to get it on there, although I don't know how to block the SMOG outlets...

The thread pitch for the AIV and EGR on the exhaust manifold is m24 x 1.5, something that will be hard to find in a hardware store, but you might get lucky.

Nissan makes a plug for it too, the part number is 14052-21R00. Courtesy can get it and get two. One for AIV and one for EGR. Will cost like $20. On the intake side of the EGR just weld in a little plate.

if its anything like the header for the sr20de engine, its a complete rip off of the hotshot. placed side by side, they are for lack of a better word, identical.

with that said, good gains are reported by the SE-R community. although some have minor fitment issues. so basically its a hotshot, with a little less better fitment.

i just installed mine today, so far i love it. much better throttle response, a nice power gain from 3.5k up, and weighs quite a bit less. the hardest part was getting the stock header out. i had to take it apart to get it out finally. the other little stuggle was the EGR, it didnt fit quite right, so i had to loosen the other side and then got it to fit. so far so good, im happy with it! oh and cant beat only payin $200 shipped. damn, thats a cheap mod!!

Did it make your car any louder (read: daily driving or highway driving)? I'm considering the header but I want very little dB increase if you know what i mean.

Also, did you get a plug for the AIV?

Pardon the thread resurrection, but since you've all had your OBX header for a while I was hoping to hear some long term comments. Everyone one like stuff when it's shiny and new
