i know this is a newbie question but does anyone know how often i should change my lsd fluid? i have vlsd.

VLSD = NO SPECIAL FLUID OR MAINTENANCE. The viscous unit is sealed, so when you change the gear oil in the diff, it's only to lube the ring and pinion and side bearings. Maintenance is the same as an open diff, and regular gear oil is used (not the type with friction modifiers).

Your owner's manual has the maintenance schedule. I believe it calls for "inspection" at 60,000 miles. If you want to be anal, change it then.
