Red face Bringing it Back.

So my car has been out of comission* for about 5 months now, I was total upset when my engine died do to my lack of funds, girl left me and my licence got revoked for bad school attendance all at once, but finally this week I had it at a shop doing a 93KAde>95KAde swap, tomorrow it should be done, all together it's going to cost me around $700 engine and swap. Now I was always on a low budged do to wasting to much money on a girl(which left me), and going out wasting time, my insurance which I don't have anymore and gas which is also not a problem anymore, so when I drive this car back home it's going to stay home for a while till I put it back on the road, so it gives me the chance I missed out on to actually get some real mods besides, I got to attend 30 day's of school to retain my licence and summer hasn't even ended yet. I have $440 spare aside from the shop money, full tune up & paint?

Thank you.

Just something completely off topic I would like to throw in just to show the fucked mentality of these females...SUDDENLY when someone hears me getting my car fixed, they all-of-the-suddent start communicating again, cant blame her though, her current boyfriend drives a 94 Corolla.

glad to hear you're doing better... i remember in your earlier posts you seemed to be having a lot of problems. girls suck... cars are much cooler. unless ur lucky and have a girl that likes cars. save ur cash and do the basic maintenance stuff. i don't think you have enough money for paint.

on that budget i would:

#0: tune up... oil, fuel, air filter... oil change... maybe change ur tranny oil. check hoses, belts, etc... although those aren't as important.

#1: buy some sand paper, pen sander, exacto knives, primer, rust eater and a little jar of touch up paint. go around the car and touch it up and kill any spots of rust forming on the body. also buy some rubber spray and make sure the wheel well innards dont have holes that are letting water through to the metal. clean it out, make sure its secure and spray the joints down with that rubber spray. wash and wax when its all done and dry.

#2: get some grease and lube up all your joints. don't forget to rip your door apart and lube the window rails if u have power windows...

doing all of that will actually take some time so save the rest of the $$$ for later.

Congrats man! I'm in the same position you are(well, just low budget and blown motor) but I still have another two weeks or so. The extra money saved by swapping ourselves is getting me a B&M SS along with a few other little goodies
