it would be cool but that engine is whacko. go LS1 or something worthwhile for the effort.

that thing would launch so nice. my friends got a fiero and hes doin a 3.4 monte carlo swap into it, said he could maybe run high 13's low 14's...but right now, with the stock motor, he can rev it all the way up to around 5k rpm and drop the clutch, and the thing just launches like it was on a rubberband. no wheel slip at all. but it is slow as hell after the launch with the stock motor, i kept up in my 240.

lets see:

plenty of dependable and hardcore V8s from the 350 family (C6 LS2=jesus....... ever heard a chevy that sounds like a ferrari?...)

or

a nissan motor that's nice but about ten times more complex and ten tiems less durable.

did u just say put a honda engine in a RWD car?? no honda engines, i would rather put a FWD SR in it, ot a vg, i cant git a RB in there. I like the idea of a v8, but there is so little room to work with, and i dont know what tranny to use.

www.v8archie.com sells a kit for the GM smallblock to fit into the fiero with the fiero transmission, automatic or manual... That fact alone makes the V8 a more feasible idea than custom fabbing EVERYthing to make the VG fit
