signed up for my first auto cross event for next Saturday. anyone have a suggestion of where I can get a good deal on a SA200 approved helmet? I don't care about brand name or looks, as long as it is approved for auto-x and track. this should be great fun! thanks everyone.

A SA2000 helmet is probably gonna run you upwards of $220. That's about how much I paid for mine, but I can't remember exactly where I got it from....maybe Simpson??? But since it's your first time and all, just use one of the doner helmets at the event. That way, if autox'ing isn't what you thought it was, you're not out $200+....but I can almost guarantee you'll love it.;) Just look around the internet and do some searches and you'll find something.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure I'll love it too. My friends go all the time. Now most of them have stepped up to Speed Trials on the track. Auto-x is just practice for them. On the other hand, I'm brand new to this whole thing. Thanks again for the suggestions.
