Headlight motor spins and hits core support

I've been trying make my headlights go down and accomplished that. But when I have them go down, the motor spins then hits the core support and stops it from moving. So the headlights will only close half way then the motors spin like crazy and it's getting no where. I have ran out of ideas and in need of help.

If the motor is hitting anything at all, either the mounting bracket for the motor is bent / your core support has been damaged.

Are you missing any brackets that would hold the motor steady and not allow it to move around?
