Front Clip Qs

So I might be getting a SR front clip at the end of the year. To people who've done the swap using a clip I have a couple questions.

1. How much do these things cost to ship? It'll probably need to be moved across NJ maybe NY once with the motor and once without.

2. Do junkyards typically take them whole or would I have to cut it apart?

3. Can you get AAA to move it for free?

1. 400-500+ Don't move it twice. Strip it, cut it and dump it.
2. they probably won't take it. if they do, they're dumb. Cut it and dump it.
3. hahaha no. Sawzall is your friend.

You: I dunno what happened: One minute I was driving along and the next minute the back half of the car, engine/transmission and body panels JUST DISAPPEARED!

Tow Guy: ?!....

-----

I'm with Meph; chop it up and send one piece at a time to the dump.

just cut it into small enough chunks to throw into a dumpster. the firewall will be the toughest part, esp the area by the door pillar.
chunk it up, borrow a friend's pickup or rent a uhaul truck if you have no friends, wait till 3am, drive to some industrial complex that has free dumpsters, dump and run.

While not the most scrupulous thing to do, the negative effects are light, given that whatever business pays for that dumpster is going to have to pay for it to be emptied just a little sooner than normal. Hell, they might even make a buck off the scrap metal.

If you have scruples and can't bear to do the wrong thing, strip the wiring, glass and plastic, cut it all up, take the sheetmetal to a recycling center (along with the stripped wire and glass) and recycle it.

yay.

Haha I figured maybe if I call em I'd get lucky and get a real cool tow guy that won't mind moving it. Maybe even throw him a few extra bucks. It's worth a try.
But anyway, I know just the place to take it. Thanks

Why do you want to keep the clip so bad? Take everything you want off of it;then take anything else you could possible sell b/c its jDm tYtE,thats what I am going to do if I get a clip. (I plan on swapping soon)
