I assume you have a S13. First thing is replace all your stock speakers cause they crap. I don't know the size of S13's but my S14's are 6 and half's. If you really want something bassy and doesn't take that much space get an Infinity basslink or Bazooka tubes. They are punchy but if you're really into music they aren't the best subs to get. You can get a good 10inch or 12inch sub in a small good box to hit off your trunk. If you need some speaker recommendations just ask!

I made some new baffles up front in mine, and dropped in a set of Infinite Kappa 6.5" component speakers and flush mounted the tweeters in the door panel. What you get out of a system depends on what you put into it, dropping some new 4x6's in the stock locations will do you a world of good, but you'd still need some subs if you want any bass. How much money did you want to put into it?

Thumps- my tri-sub box, loaded with 3 MTX 6000 10" subs with only 1/2 wattage goin to them.  133 watts each.
My friend's RF HX2 Power DVC 10" pair.  600 watts goin to them, just over half power.
Orions (sp?)
Humps- Infinity Perfect subs.  Over priced and under watted (500 rms, 600 peak... the mark of a shitty sub)
Low model RF subs... and MTX for that matter.
House speakers (Hey.. I live in FL, I've seen it)

Door speakers... MB Quarts are nice, from what I hear.  But personally, I love my Polk Audio.  And my friend's RF component set-up.

Or just say what you're looking for, and someone will give an opinion...

I had JL in my sentra and it was nice, but the trunk rattled too much, but at 105 on the freeway with windows down you could hear the stereo fine at half volume.  I would love to have Diamond Audio all around, subs and seperates, but I would rather have an SR20DET.  I sold the system in my sentra 4 days before it was totaled.

Yes, Orion speakers thump. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> If you're looking for component speakers, the Cobalt series are #### good. I installed those in my car a month or so back, and they hit hard enough just running off the 45 watt deck output to make my rear view mirror useless. And the sound quality and clarity is just as good. They're big speakers, though, so you'll have to do a bit of custom mounting in the doors most likely (at least I did on my S14).

The same thing applies to Orion subs, though I would get XTR Pro's if you're looking to conserve space. They're designed to operate in small enclosures, and the Orion website even has custom box designs you might consider.

Obviously I'm biased towards Orion, but here's the deal... You will be hard pressed to find speakers that outdo the Cobalt series, which is the lowest level of speaker Orion makes. As you go up in speaker quality, the things you can make your car system do are amazing. The one drawback is that Orion is expensive and hard to find, as they only allow select people to deal in their items. If you're even considering Orion, you can find the nearest location to you on the locator thingy on their site, and go talk to one of the people there.

Their site is http://www.orioncaraudio.com
