SR Koyo Radiator + which fan?

I want a fan system that bolts to the "stock" bolt locations on the koyo radiator on my sr. Any ideas?

well ive seen flexalite kits then another kit that has 2 fans and looks like it bolts up perfect, only the flexalite single fan puts out more cfm than the one with 2

I heard that factory Altima electric fans are good. And not ridiculously expensive like FAL.

ford taurus 3.8l non sho electric fans. 20$ off carpart.com and pushes more air than the flexalite :-) unless of course you need the clean bling engine bay of the flexalite...

Caveat: If you use the clutch fan, you need to run a shroud. If you use an e-fan, usually you can get away with no shroud since they're right against the radiator.
On a side note, FAL 210s have a rubber gasket that goes around it. On a KA, you need to hacksaw the part above and below where the radiator outlets are. On an SR, you gotta lean the radiator kinda crooked.

I would like to run the clutch fan, but when i replaced my main crank pulley with another OEM one on my SR, it came with no bolt holes to use the fan. pretty irritating. Jeff - what do you mean about tilting the radiator?

Uhmm, FYI, the clutch fan doesn't bolt to the crank pulley, it bolts to the water pump pulley. And I'm 99% sure you have the studs you need there.

someone told me a long while back that the koyo radiator will work with the stock clutch fan/shroud on th SR... true/false?

I'm not sure how a 3 core radiator could bolt into the same place at the single core stock w/o some fitment issues, but then I've never tried it...

FALSE! (edit: it's TRUE. I'm just smaert sometimes.)
We have a Koyo on Lisa's S13 with SR. Stock shroud and clutch fan!
Rad hoses were trimmed a little, as well as intake tube (the one that goes from coldpipe to the intake manifold), but other than that, no fitment issues.

SR fan shroud. KA fan shroud is different due to the fan being at a different location.

get the 220 and wire it up with turn key-turn on.

http://www.store.yahoo.com/phase2mot...l210elfan.html

btw.. if you got stock clutch fan w/o fan shroud is NO GOOD. you gotta have fan shroud to cool down the radiator.

Do you actually have experience with this fan system withthe koyo or are you simply regurgitating phase2's website info to me?

ACCORDEXL is right. the fan clutch with shroud cools efficiently. however, the shroud is hard to source out by itself. that's why its easier to just go with the 220.

pedula, you are an idiot. of course accordex has experience with it.. or else he wouldnt have said what he said.

okay, how about this.. i have the koyo radiator.. i have the FAL dual fans, guess what.. they fit super snug and super perfect.

sound better? you can thank us all later.

ps: the dual FAL fans are better than the single, in MY opinion. why? because it has more flow ACROSS the radiator, not in one spot. so, when both fans activate get ready for some cooling. the DOWNSIDE to these fans, is, that they are quite powerful and can vibrate the cabin. which, is why i have one running constantly and the other activates with a thermoswitch -- or you can just both put them on thermoswitch, depending on where you live and driving conditions, etc.

respect.. respect.. phase2 rocks, support them.
