ya I got the insurance from the truck driver. I was going 75 when it happened. well it all is actually probably going to work out in the long run the damage estimate came out to $1619. So all I can say is I am not sure whats going to happen to the front end after this. hehehehehehehehehe
But the trucking companies insurance is paying for it. the trucks other tires were pretty jacked up as well but the one that came apart and it was a total seperation of tread from the casing.

damn were you riding his ass or something? I've been following trucks plenty of times that had blowouts with seperation but usually gravity sets em down and I can just swerve around them.

I'm not spamming, but I've bought stuff from jarco before, and I thought these might be able to help you.

no actually there was a car in front of me about a car length and a half ahead who swerved to avoid it. I had just changed lanes and pretty much at 75 a car length and half dissapears quickly i.e. it was on the front of my car before there was time to react. It had already come off the truck.
Yes people drive fast in socal average speed on our freeways is 80.

Not that I'm advocating being a dick, but if you wanted to, you could probably file criminal charges against the trucker and the truck company for criminal negligence resulting in damage to personal property. Happens all the time here in PA, a truck's tire comes off or blows out, damages a car (not even resulting in injury) and the truck driver and the company that owns the truck not only gets their insurance pissing down their throat, but 9 times out of 10, the police file criminal charges against them both too.
