JSK Coilover Experiences
Hello everyone, I'm about to place an order for some JSK Coilovers, this will be my first set and since I will DD my S14, I don't need something for the track, just to replace my worned OEM shock/spring setup with some drop and confort ride.
They seems pretty nice, the price fits my budget, but I will like to read what you experiences have been for those who has used this coils. Thank you for your time and help. |

So I googled them and I'm pretty sure a vendor (or used to be) here was trying to sell them as a "local made for local drifters that dont have deep pockets. Your Tein and Stance companies spend thousands of dollars promoting their brand in hopes they catch popularity and recognition.. For a small shop to create something great only takes knowledge and skill."
I know that the first post with all of the pictures are gone but I'm pretty sure those are the same as the ones talked about here. There's even a number that is provided for JSK as well in the second page: http://zilvia.net/f/sale-items/46487...ale-500-a.html And then I found that goodiegarage sells them as well. http://zilvia.net/f/suspension/45419...tein-more.html |

My friend has them on his coupe. They are pretty stiff, but my powered by max is a lot stiffer but theyre supposed to be. His Jsk's go really low. He is slammed on 16's. They ride nice and provide a nice slam.

Oi, you get what you pay for. If youre in such huge quandary over $500 budget coilovers, then perhaps you shouldnt be spending money to begin with. Or perhaps you should put your money toward a trusted brand like Stance, Fortune Auto or PBM? Im not trying to knock the little guys brand, but invest your money somewhere you feel comfortable instead of questioning a brand that has very little feedback around the web...
Just saying. |

Appreciate your comment but it really didn't help me much, as i said i'm not looking to spend a ton since the car is going to be daily just looking for a conformable ride, i guess someone who actually used these coils could give me a better answer......

if you intend to keep your car, treat it like you want to keep it, being cheap will always cost you more in the longrun anyway. if not, glws; and buy a honda. i hear you can get some honda coilovers for like 200 bucks, and theyre shiny. ![]() edit: they were fairly comfortable for 20k miles. I always love people saying its just a dd I don't want to spend much money on coilovers. Seems to me that you should spend more on your daily than track car (unless you are actually competing). You are putting way more miles on them. They need to be comfortable and regardless of what you think cheap coils will never ride well regardless of brand. And on the street a catastrophic failure (though unlikely) would be much worse since there are innocent people around.

Still running them after 3 years. For those who bought off me back then, you and i know they run as good I say they are. And for as many sets as I have sold, never had I heard of them shitting out like other brands where pistons bust open, rods snap, or dampers not working like they suppose to.. the guys I know who run these beat the hell out their cars.
Believe what you want, there are those who gonna say this and that about a certain product without even testing it first hand. The price may seem low but in reality the technology has been around for over half a decade.. $1000 is just the norm of calling it a good coilover. |

no way i could run mine after 3 years. 2 shocks were blown to hell. but anyway,
http://zilvia.net/f/sale-items/548548-s14-stance-gr-pro-coilovers.html (see price drop) stop wasting ur time looking at crappy products and buy used if you cant afford new. these will last way more than 3 years if your just "daily driving" it. his price is OBO and he clearly wants them gone. you go now. |

I guarantee some of you guys spend thousands of dollars on coils and its garbage, its always sad how people are quick to call certain brands "ebay brand" I bought megan ez for $700 for my 07 Lexus IS and they were garbage, i changed them after a year and got the D2 for $900 still garbage and ran those until i got rid of the car 4 months ago, i got a 2014 Is right after and went with full Airrex air suspension so i dont mind spending the money i just dont feel like doin it this time around on a car i'm just modding to drive around daily just looking for a decent set of coilovers for a decent price to ride around with daily

If you paid $900 for D2s you got snatched the fuck up. If you had paid $1200 for something decent you'd probably still be rolling on them. And that's cheaper than the $1600 you wasted on garbage ass brands. ![]()

I ran these 2 years street and comp. Placed 4th place ProAm last year.couple nasty dirt drops. Worked perfect for me. I ran all types of coilovers . I ran silk roads/Tein Super drifts/flexes/ zeal functions. Felt really good compared to big name brands. I put it to test myself to see, it checked out. Just stay away from emusa d2 ksport all that china stuff.
on a side not: guy that made jsk has a background made around coilovers . Hes background runs deep with motorcycle coilovers for GP 10 years plus based out of California
