AC Connections

I just inherited an 89 240SX with an SR20DET swap. The car has the original SOHC compressor (custom bracket) and AC components. It also has the KA ECU installed and tuned to the SR. The car was in CO and now in Texas so previously AC wasn't a big deal. I want to hook up the AC and get it working.

I have searched and found info regarding using a DOHC compressor with pin out and wiring. Trying to find the same information regarding what to do for a SOHC compressor. I have tried to search the forum and unable to find the right information. I prefer to work on my own cars and can do jumpers, pin outs, and wiring. Just trying to find a simple solution without swapping out parts.

Thanks for any help in advance.

I would jumper the compressor first and see if its working and blows cold air before you get to far. You can do it right at the compressor itself and engage the clutch and if it is charged/sealed still, should blow cold.

Follow the Service manual for a easier time diagnosing the issue, but as Tyler_240 says above, check for 12v at compressor. If you have it? Bad compressor clutch. If you don't, low charge, or a bad pressure switch.
