S14 Brake Booster fit
I picked up an ABS brake booster with the intent of fitting it into my non-ABS '97 S14. My current one is the "thinner" type, and I figured it would be a good inclusion along with the full Z32 brake swap (incl. BMC). However... it seems like there there's no way to make it fit. The problem is in the pushrod that attaches to the pedal is too long.
What I got is described as: "JDM Nissan 240sx Silvia ABS S14 Brake Booster Master Cylinder 1995-1998" And is stamped with part #s 83F95. From what I read there wasn't a ton of differentiation in boosters, so long as it's from an ABS S14, but it seems like there is a difference. Where did I go wrong? Did I need a different part, or am I missing an adjustment somewhere? Attached a couple images of it. |

theres a jam nut on the rod. break it loose and you can adjust the rod in and out of the bracket.

Thanks. Unfortunately, even after shortening it up all the way it was a good half inch too long. Must be a slightly different part, or people are just installing it with the pushrod more forward into the booster than seemed right. Giving the stock booster with the z32 brakes a try for now. Seems alright so far.
