Okay so I am currently swapping a 1uz into my S-chasiss and I someone had done the timing belt before I put the motor in the car, and once I finally got the car running It ran terrible, So I checked the timing and its way off.

SO... My question is which orientation should the cams be facing when the cams are at TDC?
I know I know you line the cams up with the marks but, since the cams turn 180 degrees wouldn't there be 2 orientations of the cam lopes at the marks?

Keep in mind this is a 1uz v8 quad cam.

when timing the 1uz theres a specific procedure that has you place the exhaust cam on ( i think ) the right head first, then add the chain and the intake cam on the right head then rotate the whole thing like -3 degrees

Check your lextreme forums for information about the details with the UZ or buy yourself an Alldata account and look it up
