Hey guys. I just got my tax money back, $400 to spend on my car, so what hsould i do? I have a stock 91 HB. Springs and shocks? Exhaust? or some really nice gunmetal wheels and tires? (ok so this would be more than $400, but who cares right?)Also how do i make my wheels sit out farther? They seem to be sunken in hte sides by about 2in and i think this looks horrible. I saw some wheels spacers at PDM for $5, good idea, bad idea?

get I/H/E (intake, hearder, exhaust)done. That is if you intend on keeping your KA and not going turbo. I always prefer performance first, make it handle well later, but that's just me.

IMO, handling is the essence of performance. Anyways, the first $400 for my '95 went to springs/ struts/shocks.

i'm with ace.....i did supension work first ($600 in parts), made a huge difference, i just got my exhaust on ($500) and while it did help, it's nothing compared to suspension improvements

Actually, I think if this is your first car, and you will be modding it, go I/H/E. Why? so you can get in touch with your cars "inner beauty" and then you can move on. Love is such a learning process

ever driven a REALLY fast car? I'm more at home on the drag strip than at a raceway.

william and ace are right in different cases...if your are going into auto-xing...then i would concentrate on your suspension...if you are like me, and just trying to create a drag daemon...then I/H/E....different applications call for different paths...

In all realtiy it depends on what your asperations for the car are.

The first mod I did on my '95 was the Injen intake. I then immediately dropped $700 on struts, shocks, and springs. Then I got a short shifter...very nice upgrade

I just put on my Apexi N1 single on a week ago along with a GRacer lip spoiler from Greddy. As you can see I'm jumping all over the place...from power, to handling, to eye candy, back to power, ect.

I'm not even close to being done with all my susp. work nor the exterior of it. I now am working on getting some gauges to monitor the cars vitals and then doing my 300z calliper swap up front.....do what feels good..do what you want.

..forgive this post for sounding like that of a cheesy sermon....hehehe

If you are planning on keeping the car for awhile, why not re-upholster the seats, and install some new carpet.

Dude...he wants to make the car faster/handel better...
Redoing the seats and flooring won't help that much...
thats the last thing someone with a new car, some fast hopes, and some quick cash to blow would do.

I concur with Ace. Get yourself some suspension pieces. Or, spend the 400 on a driving course. Good driving skills can overcome the 20 or so hp increase i/h/e will make.
