was going through my DIR and found this pic. i was taking off the intake manifold with grease hands and tools(just took out the drive shaft and drained oil). after the tool hit me in my face i fell off the tank of paint i was standing on. talk about a bad day!
doesn't look bad in the pic but right after the breaker bar attacked me my right side of my face was covered with blood. my eye was so red it looked like i had to much to drink.
a day after the pic i had a mean black eye. that sucked cause everyone thought i got my ass kicked...

So be safe. never know what your tools will do to you.

A similar thing happened to me, this one time I was laying on my back taking off some bolts from the bottom of the car, and this one was rusted as hell, so im goin at it with all my force, and the wrench slipped off the bolt and hit me in the face. I had a bigass mark under my eye, yah, that day sucked.

I dropped a half inch socket wrench on my eyeball, not as bad as beeing beaten with a 3/4 inch wrench like vin deisel did to that one guy.

good thing i wasn't wearing safty glasses. cause it hit me so hard it might have cracked it. the tip of the breaker bar hit my eye. whould this hae broken the safty glasses?

i still have a bump on my cheek. i thought that i cracked the bone..

still the safety glasses wouldn't shatter at all they might crack though, they are made of plastic. but more than likely they could have saved your vision had it been an inch farther over.
