Ways to reduce rebound? or car Jumping?
my suspension is too bouncy even on the softest. I have tried some other car with coilovers at the same sping rates, and they are not even close to as bouncy as mine. My friend who drives behind me always claims that I am "all over the road". and it does affect my handling cause when I go airborn in a turn, I feel like my steering just lost response so who knows what might happen one day in one of those mountains.

It's 9/7 spring rates. HKS hipermax Pro... I didn't know that matters at all except the spring rates right?

oh Shoot can it be tire pressure? I have never checked my tire pressure since the tire shop put the tires on. All I know is it's hella FULL.
![]() It's a 2 way adjustable. Height and damper but how you adjust rebound?

Also would spring adjustment matter? I had the springs compressed a little when I was adjusting the height. Does that like increases rebound also? I thought it would only increase spring rate right? I am not very good with this spring rate/ damper rate/ rebound rate thing. Can someone explain it to me or direct me to the page? My goal is to have less hopping around while still have a stiff ride.(less body rolls at corners)

More dampening is needed. Turn it up to full stiff, and the shocks can better control the springs motion, both rebound an compression. Try that. It will be stiffer, but less "bounce". - Brian

It's a little better but still kind bad. The wheel will leave the road... I can't really push my car hard cause I dunno when I am gonna be in the air without any traction in a corner.
Seem that not many ppl seem to know well of suspension tuning. All my friend still don't have the right setup yet. I guess that's why Alex from d1 say it's like taking a knife to a gun fight when you go tandom vs Japanese cars.

How do you know the wheel is leaving the road?
HKS makes a nice coilover...and that's pretty much all that's causing your issue here, unless you have stock wheels and $25 tires. You said you preloaded the spring a little...how much (how many inches did you compress it)? - Brian

Hmm ok I think I found what's wrong. My rear is having bad camber, meaning off alignment. One side is all negative while the other side is So, So. Gonna get some RUCA and some spacers to put in and see if that helps. Also gonna set the tire pressure to 35 cold or 38 hot.

Of all the rebound you've been complaining about b/c you have no idea how to tune a set of coilovers, now you're going to make your tires super stiff w/ 38psi. Unless you're auto-x full-time or trying to make 40mpg or trying to kill yourself when it rains, turn down the psi to 28. Jesse

What tire pressure you running right now? You should be at around 30 psi for daily driving, not more than 32. This will affect your bounciness. Also the alignment needs to be done first and foremost. There are a few basics that you should always address BEFORE you start pulling your suspension apart again.
1. Modify suspension = new alignment 2. check to ensure every bolt is tight and each part is mounted properly. 3. Make a list of the things you've modified from their designed spec (spring compression, tire pressure, wheel fitments, any suspension arm alteration) Little story...for example on #2, I had an alignment done for a new control arm and tie rods, and the fucking shop didn't tighten one of my camber bolts in the front!! My front end was all over the road and I couldn't figure it out! then one day I was doing my brakes and I leaned on the strut and it moved! Whoa...I went back there and chewed them new a-holes. Start with that and then see where you're at with the ride.
