I've been here for over 3 years and I am just starting to make some friends on the forum and you know what, I got so much info I should've paid 10x what the premium membership costs. Hell, a FSM can run 50$... and we can get almost all the same info here for 10$... you don't have to like the mods to use the knowledge that is spread around this forum.

What's more sad: A few free premium memberships for showing zilvia love. And we had 2 entrants. They had 7 days to do 10 minutes worth of work to get the equivalent of $10. Both entrants won.

Well, I respect you mods!! I once was a mod on another forum and it's hard work and no recognition(sp?)... I might not always agree, most probably because some times, i would even be harsher than you guys...

To answer a question previously posed, I actually do like the mods on here... I have held IM conversations at length with 4 of them, and 2 of them more than held me down on AIM last year (look for details on the "free premium membership" thread) I turn to them for flame-free information and for objective opinions, which they will provide when time allows, when they are not off pinking the ever-growing army of jackasses on the forum.
Jeff - I was aware of the "free premium membership" thread just as Kevin posted it and began writing on my entry with all intentions of posting it at the last possible chance, which is what I did. Being one of 2 individuals with the resolve to actually do something of the sort for the only forum I have found myself drawn enough to have amassed 2000+ posts on (trust, I have been on FA longer and have an EIGHTH this many posts, because I get tired of wading through 9 pages of complaints/assholism to get to pertinent information) and felt it to be at least worth the time I would have spent at the computer not doing shit otherwise to at least give it a SHOT. I thank Kevin for the chance.
Halo - You know I agree with you, as I usually do, you're already premium, so I can understand your not getting in on the thread to whore up your post count. Again you are right about the availability of information being worth the minimal effort required to arrive to it as well, so much to the point where I spend quite a bit of time and have blown a good part of 4 consecutive days off on Zilvia, if I don't need to know anything new, I can share the knowledge I have, if that ain't necessary, I will surely be treated to a hearty laugh at the very least.

I think its time Zilvia became a closed community and we get to vote on new applicants as to who gets accepted. THAT, or we get to vote on who gets deleted should people start acting the fool. Maybe both.

Thats what we used to do in the ol BBS days, fuckin have a NUP (new user password) and vote people in. Thats the shit right there.

Anyway, I feel bad.. I havent donated squat.. i dont really care.. if any of you want an account on my forum you are more than welcome to join, I wont charge you guys... haha

you might have an idea there. you would need to show that you have a 240 or an avid interest in the 240.

if you don't have a 240 credentials from another forum would be arranged to show that you are a true enthusiast. (credentials being, join date, post count, and brief back ground check to show that you do give some solid info and that you don't post whore.)

Biiiiash! I will pay them once I get paid. I haven’t made a profit since 1998... Trust me, moding is grueling, but doing the things behind the scenes takes the cake ten fold. Zilvia has bought the new server and a few other things related to the site. I am about $500 away from actually profiting from the site. Even then I have to pay the hosting fees + other costs.

I do wish I could pay my mods as there really isn’t an incentive for doing what we all do. Even still, if I pay them anything worthwhile, it would take Zilvia months to gather anything worthwhile. I do respect my mods and love what they do for the me, I would love to pay them. I even thought about it a few nights ago while feeling down about the site since I have been so busy with other things, meanwhile depressed that my 240 hasn’t seen asphalt for over a year now. The mods have come through for me during this time in every way and I don’t think there is a way for me to thank them enough. In the end, it goes back to the users and their support of us and our advertisers. Maybe someday I can setup a payroll for my "employee's", possibly even a benefits package.
