Here's a recent pic of my car that a friend and I took at his house...lighting isn't that great, but I think it came out ok. I recently swapped my old stockers for a set of these painted black stockers...I think it came out great.

I since have installed my N1 single and the Greddy GRacer lip spoiler to the front. I'm waiting until I install the sideskirts from a '97~98 240 before posting new pics. I'll get em up as soon as I have them on.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I'll never venture into the "riceworld" with my car. These of course will not always be the wheels I'll utilize...this was just something I decided to do to for a change for awhile. I'm looking at getting some Volk Te-37s or Racing Hart C5000...and about fiteen thousand other types of wheels. I just can't decide right yet.

What all have you done to the car so far?

I knew someone was gonna post about that....yes, that is a reflection...no chrome trim for me

What I have done to the car so far:
.Eibach Pro-kit springs
.Tokiko Blue Struts/shocks
.Brembo X-drilled rotors
.Axxis MM pads
.Goodridge SS lines
.OBX short shifter
.Injen intake
.Apexi N1 single cat-back
.GRacer lip spoiler

By the end of April I will have also done the following:
.installed the '97~98 sideskirts
. Cusco f&r STBs
. Cusco or Suspension Tech. sway bar kit (not sure which one)
.New CD player (Pioneer)
.Finish up my Z32 brake upgrade up front

I'll have even more done by the end of the year, but have to be careful cause I want to save some projects for when the car gest paid off.

Yup - 16x6.5 (i.e., just a hair to skinny to properly fit a 225 <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

IIRC, the are +38 offsets? &nbsp;Anyone?

BTW: is that spray or coating - I assume spray. &nbsp; If spray, what paint and any problems (i.e., flaking, etc.)?

Thanks for al the positive rsponses guys...I have yet to have a negative response out of the three forums I frequent

As for the paint, I believe it's a Krylon paint....not exactly sure which. I didn't paint the wheels myself...a friend of mine with another S14 had two sets that he painted black, but never wanted to put them on his car so I swapped wheels with him.

It's a great paint it seems....no flaking, no blemishes, and are extremely easy to clean. When waxed they look even better....I'll get some more pics up soon.

Bill

Nice wheels man. I didn't even think they were stock at first. I'm thinking of getting some dark wheels, not black, more like gunmetal, on my '97, It's green now, but I want to paint it titanium silver one day. How do you think that would look?

Lowered?<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>...That's not the first time I've heard that before so no biggie. As said in one of my previous posts, I do have the Eibach Pro-kits on it. For some reason the car doesn't look that low in the pic....hmmmmm. Either way I don't want the car any lower...already have enough trouble with the lip spoiler as is. The wheel gap will be minimized when I put some 17 or 18" wheels on it.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">You gonna do anything else to it?</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>

Don't know if you saw or not, but again in my post I said I was gonna do my gauges, get my f&r Cusco STBs, get the Suspension Tech. sway bars, and finish my 300z brake upgrade up front within the next three os so months.

Ultimate plans are to have a mildly built (pistons and rods) Ka and turbocharge it. I could list all the stuff I hope to do, but for fear of boring the readers, I'll pass...

the black on black is nice and night rider-ish <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

i would've gone black on gunmetal (oh wait... i did...) but it's personal preference I guess.

My friend said he painted the '89 SOHC wheels I gave to him black... but his car is red. &nbsp;I still have to see how that turned out.

umm no, not at all, yours looks nothing like his <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sigh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
other than the tokicos shocks and eibach springs (non of which are visible).
His is an SE, has 5 lug, and its 5spd, not automatic.
He also has exhaust.
He has front lip
He has D-speed side markers
and last of all he's got nice black SE rims, not hubcaps from kragens.
I could go on and on...

I'd have to bet on blacks14 on this one.... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
Gotta do my reasearch when placing bets, j/k

Oh yea, Blacks14, how many layers of paint/clearcoat did your friend use on those rims? Can you check for me? Thanks.

Im Feelin The Car, But You Should Put Different Rims, The Black For Me Jus Kills It, And You Should Get Rid Of The Hood Pins, IT Would Make The Car Look Better <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

I believe he put three coats on (of just the paint...don't think he used any clear coat)...for sure he put atleast two on, but don't know if he applied a third coat. I'll e-mail him and find out for you

I'm waiting on my girlfriends father to get batteries for the digicam and I'll try and get more up with the lip and exhaust, but might wait until I get the sideskirts installed this weekend...I'll get them up as soon as possible...promise...

...oh and just so you know, I have since chucked the D-speed clear lenses. Absolute pieces of shit IMO. Can't install any aftermarket bulb in them or the inner housing will melt. Only one melted, but for the one that didn't, the inner housing still just came loose and while trying to get it out, I busted the entire lenses...GARBAGE!!!

I decided to install my stockers back on, but beofre doing so, I sanded off the lettering and painted them a gloss black to match the car....two less bulbs to worry about
