Ignition Resistor and Condenser Help

I am in need of some assistance repairing the wiring to and replacing the Ignition Resistor and Condenser. The car is a 1992 240SX hatch. I noticed the connector melted by the driver side fender near the ignition coil. I did some looking and it seems to be a common problem but i cannot find the part number for replacement. So my question is, why does this happen? Also, is this part available, maybe with a pigtail to repair the harness? When i search the part description i find 28351-89901 for the ignition resistor and condenser but it does not look like the one i need. It looks like it is a 2 wire unit. According to the FSM in the wiring diagram #F35 and looking at my vehicle I need a 4 wire replacement. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance
