lowering springs up front only?

hi... a friend of mine has given me 2 front s tech lowering springs because he is missing one in the rear. what negative effects may occur if i install lowering springs on the front suspension only with stock springs in the rear? i am really contemplating this since the front wheel gap is a lot worse than the rear. thanks

i dont get it people say that u get under steer if u hav soft suspension in the rear. like they say you get more oversteer with harder aftermarket sway bars in the rear. but when i had stock sways, my car would sway soo much that i would spin out with oversteer, but now because i have aftermarket sway bars my car doesnt oversteer nor understeer and i havnt spund out yet. ionno it might jsut be me.

It will look like shit and ride like shit. I had to go home after only installing the fronts to come back the next day and install the rears. My friend drove buy and was like "what's up greaser" I looked like a mussle car with the rear end in the air. It rode like shit cause all the weight was in the front now. The headlights pointed at the ground. tail slides around the corner and the front plants.

Never mix and match springs even the same brand and model. Batch differences in steel and also wear can make them different. That set your friend has is a lost cause.

Lowering springs in the front will look fine -- a little 'jacked-up' but not too bad. Considering the rear springs are 13+ years old and the vehicle is RWD, the back is already a bit lower than when it left the factory.

As far as performance, install 'em and let us know how it feels! I'm sure it would be good for drag racing...
