![]() I bought a new 300zx brake master cylinder for my '91 and was wondering if it is really neccessary to prime it before I install it? If I do need to prime it, then what kind/size of fittings do I need?I was thinking about buying some bleed valves and attacking a clear hose to it, but it looked like it would hit the fitting inside the cylinder. Will that work? Any other suggestions?
One more question, is it okay to use teflon tape? |

teflon tape on what? You shouldn't need it anywhere on the brake system.
You don't have to prime it to install it, just gravity bleed all 4 corners before you start pumping fluid through it. Bench priming is a pita if you don't have the equipment to do it. |
