s15 S15 converisons

i have a 95 240 and i wanted to do an S15 conversion to the exterior, however i decided i wanted to also drop the s15 sr20 in the the car as well. Is that possible or am i just letting my imagination sail away with impossible ideas? if this can be done what will it require? I imagine atleast a new drive shaft and i hear the tranny is week so it need to be beefed up. Also what else would i need to make it look completely like an S15 (i.e. fenders, trunk ect...)

Thank you for your time and your help will be greatly appreciated.

dam, with your sn, i thought u already had an s15. lol

You can run a s15 motor and tranny, dont know about driveshaft, might need some work. 6speed s15 tranny is rumored to be weaker in teh sense it has more parts withen same size housing as a 5speed. 5speed sr tranny should bolt up.

Do a search, and you will see that is is very possible and if you are mechanically inclined then you will know that it is a simple swap. just as long as you have the S-15 harness and computer.

iv'e got a 91 240 with the s15 and 6 speed , it is not hard at all , i think it might be easier than the s13 , the s15 harness has the ecu relay on the harness , so you dont have that much wiring , i think i only ran like 5 wires , but the driveshaft is the tricky part , it took me some time to find one to work, you will have to have it made ( i just welded mine myself ) you take a auto ka slip yoke ( the part that goes in the bake of the tranny ) and have it welded to your existing driveshaft, the reason you cant use the auto driveshaft is b/c its to long and the carrier bearing is in the wrong place , but other than that its a pretty easy swap .

i hope this will help

p.s. and the shifter works fine

1) Put down the copy of Super Street.
2) Realize that they're two completely different cars. Yes, the front end will swap over due to similiar chassis deisgn, but the trunk, etc. will not without major bodywork, which is both costly and completely gay.

You want an S15 so bad, buy one from the UK and import it.

yes! dear god.

your s14 will never look exactly like a s15, no matter what you do to it. if you pay more attention, you will notice there are alot of differences... size of the cabin, length of the nose, lines in the car, etc etc. iirc the rear on the s14 is narrower too, so a s15 rear with those giant pontiac tail lights end up looking cross eyed on the s14.

I'm suprised the flaming didn't start alot earlier.

Wanting to change a car into something that it's not is ghey. I'm not talkin strawberry face, I'm talking, wanting to "convert" an s14 to and s15 or anything similar. Each S chassis car is hot in it's own way. S14's, zenki or kouki, are both great looking cars. I like S15's, but putting those taillights on a S14 would look so retarded.

My suggestion to you... make a list of everything you want to know about S-chassis. Then sit with your list at your computer. Use the search function of this website, to search all of your wonderings. I know you'll find most, if not all of your answers on this site. I know S15 engine/tranny/driveshaft/diff/strawberry face, have all been discussed on here.

Just remember, even if you pay a body shop to put on those tailights/front end, and make your car look close to a S15. It's still going to be an S14. Albeit a ghey S14.
