300zx NA Rims Tire Question

Wondering wuts the widest i can run on these *16x7.5* Since nothing will rub in the rear...whats the widest these suckas will take? Im pretty sure the fronts gonna have to stay 225/50s cuz itll rub suspension if i run anything wider. Im more curious about the rears. S14...can it handle 245s???

Go with 225/45 R16's.........they look alot better than the 225/50's. You would need a 5mm spacer not to rub tho....or you could run a 215/45 upfront and 225/45 in the rear. I just got some new 225/45-R16 Falken Ziex for the fronts........$100/each shipped from tires.com

Why would I wanna go down to 225/45? That will make the overall size of the wheel smaller than stock. Plus the fact that this is on a S14 will make it UGLY as fook.

So you are saying you want to run 245/50 R16's in back? Well...I have that size on my S13 (w/TT rims) and it looks like a drag tire on that wheel (IE....ass).

Tirerack.com has some 235/50 R16's that would look good if you didnt wanna try the 245/45 R16's (which is the OEM TT size).

since when did looks matter on a tire and rim combo?

oh i forgot, when ricers jumped on the drift bandwagon

get the biggest rubber on your rims as you can to the point where it doesnt have serious sidewall flex... 245/45s fit just fine on a 7.5" rim
