Does anybody know of any rims that would have the right offset to look flush on an S13? Preferably light, under $200 a piece, and available in gunmetal/black. Am I just looking at the wrong numbers or will a 7" wide wheel with a +40mm offset not look flush with the fender?

7" with a +40 offset would look a few mm further out than stock.
Tenzo R makes a lot of nice looking black/gunmetal wheels, and they're pretty cheap on wheelmax. I dont know if they're light or not though. |

+40 was set the wheel more inward...+30, maybe less, would be better for a flush look with 7" wheels. The thinner the wheel, the more you want to push it out for a flush look, so the less offset you want. |

I'm not sure what stock s13 offset is, but I don't think its as low s +28 which is what it would need to be for this wheel to be farther in than the stock one. |

Stock is +40 on an S13 (6" wide) and S14 (6.5" wide) as well I believe. So a +40mm 7" wide wheel will be .5" closer to the fender (S13). A 7.5" wide wheel with a +35 is almost exactly an inch out. So that means the overall track would increase by 2".

True, but it'll be 0.5" closer to the suspension as well. You could usue +30 and keep the same suspension clearance while pushing it out another 10mm/~0.5". |

Your not going to get the look your going for on wheel that are mass produced. Unless its somehow the perfect offset. My 17x7.5 5Zigen 5ZR's with a +35 offset looked like the wheels needed spacers to get them flush with the fenders. Now when I custom ordered my 17x8 and 17x9 Work Miester S2R's with a +35 mm offeset they came right to the fenders of my s14 and looked badass. So, when you buy a wheel make sure you ordering from someone who knows the 240sx and someone who knows offsets. They will help you get the best wheel for your car. Just dont oder your wheels from blahwheelsupply.com and expect them to fit your 240.

yup, i bought my 18" c-2's from a local shop who specialize in honda's. from the side it looks alright but from the front and back it looks like i'm rolling on tire savers aka spare tires. |
