S14 pulls to the left under accel
At even throttle the car drives straight, same for off throttle. I can let go of the steering wheel and the car stays straight. If I step on the gas the car pulls to the left. It is not the same feeling as turning the wheels, more like weight if that makes sense. When I shift, the car wiggles. I can get the car to do the same wiggle motion but much more so by stepping on the gas and letting off repeatedly. Car stays straight under braking.
I tried changing the damper rate on my Tein HEs. Usually I keep them at 8 clicks soft from full hard for the street. Going up to 3 clicks soft from full stiff only made the ride feel more even, less bumpy. Going up to full stiff made the car more bouncy, but not much more stiff. Full stiff on the dampers exaggerated the problem. I have checked tire pressures, and made sure my wheels are on tight. I have not checked under the car for worn out bushings yet. Any ideas? I am thinking that one or more of the dampers are shot. The last time I had the dampers more stiff than 5 clicks soft from full hard, it felt way different. Too hard for the street. Now it feels normal. Could it be totally shot bushings? I was under my car about 1000 miles ago, and everything looked fine, but I was not looking too closely. Thanks |
