![]() What are some pros and cons of the Nismo 2 way. Just wanted to see what kind of info you guys would provide.

its a nice set up too run for street use, but if your going too going too do a lot of TOUGE or track drifting get a Diff cooler set up. One of my customers picked 1 up from me.

its dependent on each persons thoughts or blind hatetred. but if you want your diff too last longer its better too run a diff cooler sure you can run with out one but each case is differnt. much rather run one then not if your planning on keeping for a long time run a diff cooler but if not who cares. |

mm considering friends overseas w/ 2+ years on the same diff
if you change your oils often, run a good weight then you wont face problems mine has had no problms, neither have friends overtime a rebuild is always in order, cooler or not |

what about just welding some heat soak fins onto the stock diff cover?
and I would think that a diff that was "burning" oil has very serious problems.

Pros:
very quiet, and locks pretty good for the most part. Can use synthetic oil like redline with additive already built in to it, so theres no need for additional additive. Cons: shitty tires mean chirping alot when making turns (I'm pretty sure this applies to all lsds). Just get better tires adn problem solved. Causes extreme addiction to driving and won't let you get other things done. Makes you want to throttle the gas hard coming around every corner. Other than that, none really. Enjoy the nismo, or any lsd for that matter. It has 12 clutch plates (or 16 in dousan's case) which is alot better than open diff and vlsd. You cant go wrong. |
